What I would like to do is show you a very simple way of restoring leather without the need of any specialised equipment. I will point out, however, to get the BEST results, you DO need spray equipment. But here's the next best thing that anyone can do to improve the look of their leather. The leather shown here is a typical example where this system works best ... leather which looks raw and cracked. Once leather gets to this state, the options are very limited: get it reupholstered (expensive), replace it with a new suite (expensive). This is a great way to spruce up your leather and save thousands of dollars in the process! As you can see, this leather is very badly cracked and looking very raw. The products used in the "wipe-on" system are quite different to those used in the "spray-on" (professional) system, and here's the difference: In the professional spray-on system, the colour is sprayed on, followed by a high performance clear sealer, to give the leather its durability and feel. The "wipe-on" system is simply the colour AND the sealer combined with the ADDITION of waxes to make is easier to spread with a cloth. To put your mind at ease, the "wipe-On" products have been tested and approved by LASRA (international leather testing authority) and will pass the international leather finishing standards.
