Over the last 28 years in the leather industry, I've seen first hand, what happens to neglected leather. Here's some examples:

• Cracked leather seats on a lounge suite only 2 years old!
• The colour of a car drivers seat worn off from constant use ... in only a few months!
• Sun baked rear leather car seat ... it got so hot, the leather shrunk, went stiff as a board and tore along the stitching!
• Arm chairs with the colour completely worn off the arms and seat cushions in less than 12 months!

And these are typical examples of what can happen to leather when not properly cared for.

The problem is, you see, people who own leather don't know how to care for it and when they are shown, are completely surprised how simple it is.

Many remark that if they had known this in the first place, they would have taken care of their leather right from the start!

When these sorts of problems occur, can they be fixed? Yes they can. In many instances, relatively simple restoration work is needed but in the more serious cases where leather needs to be replaced, this can become very expensive.

So, if you want to avoid ruining your upholstery, it's definitely worth while regularly cleaning and conditioning your leather with a tested and approved leather care system.
